Since her high school and university studies, she has been particularly interested in the intersections of literature, cinema, visual arts, and choreography. In 2012, she graduated in Modern Literature from the Università Cattolica of Milan with a thesis entitled Il valore elvaggio della bellezza. « Poetica del difetto » in Jean Dubuffet e Pina Bausch. That same year, she collaborated with director Mitch Hooper on Macbeth at the Théâtre de l’Epée de Bois and choreographed Andromaque, directed by Anne Coutureau at the Théâtre de Suresnes Jean Vilar.
The 2022/2023 season was equally rich in projects and collaborations. Malacco toured JUKEBOX in France, Italy, and Thailand, and led an artistic and cultural residency in schools in Villeparisis, supported by DRAC Île-de-France, the DAC of Villeparisis, and local educational institutions. In 2023, she collaborated with internationally acclaimed costume designer Franca Squarciapino, creating the performances From Past to Future N.1 and N.2 for the Aspettando il Museo events.
In 2024, with the support of the Maison des Métallos, she devoted herself to the research and creation of Screaming – Ricordi vaganti. She continued her educational and transmission projects both in France and abroad, coordinating workshops at the International School of Bangkok and directing for a second consecutive year the territorial school residency in Villeparisis, thanks to the renewal of the DRAC Île-de-France grant.
In 2025, she created the duo Some Years Ago, a fifteen-minute short piece and the first excerpt from the upcoming show Couples, which won the Jury First Prize at the Rencontres Chorégraphiques Corps & Arts d’Annecy. In the 2025/2026 season, Serena is an associate artist at the MPAA de Paris, where she will present the first piece of the trilogy Plot in Motion : Screaming – Ricordi vaganti.
