THE APPROACH
Whether as dance-movement teacher or as project director in cultural activities with multiple collaborators, the main goal of the choreographer Serena Malacco is to highlight the creativity of each participant.
The choreographer regularly conducts workshops for amateurs of all ages and professional dancers. Her classes around bodily practices aim at the physical and mental ease of the participant. Through relaxation and awareness exercises she has been experimenting with for years, she guides students to discover unexpected physical and expressive abilities, allowing them to explore their creativity without constraints.
The emphasis on highlighting the personality of each student is the distinctive feature of the Jukebox company workshops. The teachers put the participants’ originality at the center of the pedagogical approach, allowed them to discover their own qualities.
